Organizations of Calvin Christian School
F.A.C.S. (Families at Calvin School)
All parents of Calvin students are members of F.A.C.S. The F.A.C.S. Board oversees the following
services and fund-raising projects: Home bulletin distribution, hot lunch,
skating parties, vending machines, label collections, doughnut/cookie days,
gym uniform sales, kitchen supplies, Fall Auction, Flower bulb sales,
Wrapping paper sales, Arts & Crafts Fair, Fannie May Candy Sale, Coupon
books, Spring Fling/Tiger Tamer Game, Pennies for Playground and Market Day.
F.A.C.S. boxes are located on the wall in the first and second floor center
hallways. Place all hot lunch payments, notes, and communication regarding
F.A.C.S. activities in these locked boxes.
T.R.I.P. (Tuition Reduction Incentive Program)
F.A.C.S. sponsors the T.R.I.P. program to help families reduce their tuition costs. The school is
able to purchase certificates from major food and retail stores in large
quantities at a discount. Participants purchase certificates at face value
and are credited a percentage of the certificate value. The certificates
can be used, for the most part, just like cash or a check at the
participating stores. Also included is a voucher program for the purchase
of products that are higher in cost and less frequently purchased. Stop in
the school office for a packet of information.
Band Boosters Committee
The Band Boosters Committee helps and supports the Band program at Calvin. They are active in promoting
and organizing band membership, marching band trips, fund-raising, and the
care and repair of school-owned instruments.
Sports Boosters Committee
The Sports Boosters Committee raises money to be used for the promotion and enhancement of the
sports programs at Calvin. They also provide opportunities for students to
be introduced to a sport and improve their skills by sponsoring various
sports clinics.
Harvest Thrift Center
The Harvest Thrift Center is dedicated to raising money for the tuition relief of parents with students
in Calvin Christian School and Lansing Christian School. We intend to do
this in such a way that we reflect God's light to our patrons and community.
