Alumni Spotlight

Ciara Williams

My tenure at Calvin Christian School began back in September 2007, when I stepped into my 7th grade classroom. I was a little nervous and somewhat shy, but my classmates embraced me and calmed my fears. Over the next two years, the Christian foundation my parents planted in me, was nurtured through wonderful classroom experiences, memorable activities, and lasting friendships. I continued my Christian education at Illiana Christian High School, where the wonderful experiences continued. And my Calvin connection continued as well, as I worked in the extended care program each year.

Today, I’m a senior at Purdue University where I major in Elementary and Special Education. I’m also still at Calvin as a teacher’s aide in Ms. Kelly’s pre-K 3 classroom, a paraprofessional in Pathways, and a senior counselor at Camp iMPACT. As I look back, I guess I always knew this is where I wanted to be. It’s only fitting that I give back to the institution that helped mold me into the person I am today.
